and inspire a life of courageous faith.

Newest in the Series!

This book can be read as a standalone!

Benton Bradley may have shot a man, but the real problem on his ranch is Terrance Graham—a fool when he’s sober, a madman when he’s not.

Though his final destination is undetermined, Duncan Roe knows God is leading him west. What he doesn’t know: why he agreed to let Zane join him. When Zane reveals he’s broke, the delay leads them to Elksedge, Montana Territory. Dunn finds unexpected friendship in the local butcher—and his daughter, Shelby. But things on the ranch where he’s taken work aren’t going as smoothly. As the weeks go by and tensions rise, Terrance Graham’s behavior endangers lives. Will Dunn’s choice to stop Graham risk his own life? And what of those around him?

Zane McCormick is lost—oh, he knows where he is, but inside, he’s in a world of turmoil. At every turn, his decisions hurt others, but Dunn sticks with him. As Zane watches his friend risk everything, he wonders what makes a man care so deeply. When Terrance Graham’s threats against Shelby, lead them across the territory and back, Zane must face his own heart and the fear and emptiness within. Where will he find peace? What will lead him Through Darkest Night to the light of dawn?

This sequel to Roses at Sunset tells a beautiful story of love and redemption.

What I Do

Writing

I write fiction, non-fiction, blogs, and other resources all with the goal of glorifying God and drawing the reader into a deeper relationship with Him.

Speaking

Sharing the lessons that draw us into a deeper, bolder walk with Christ is one of my greatest joys. Whether interacting with small groups, retreats, conferences, or workshops, my goal is always to bolster the listener’s faith, teach skills for life and writing, and magnify Christ.

Coaching/Editing

From building good writing habits, to working through difficult plots or scenes, to rewrites and edits—we all need a little help from time to time. I’ve been so blessed to have many coaches over the years and look forward to passing the blessing on to others.

A portion of every purchase—book, tea, subscription, event registrations—goes to support these ministries.

Courageous Faith Concepts

Courageous Faith is made up of many things. While my books, blogs, events, podcasts, and other resources often delve into specific nuances of living with courageous faith, I’ve learned four key concepts that must be present in our lives if we are to consistently walk in courageous faith:

  • Courage
  • Compassion
  • Commitment
  • Communion with Christ.

These concepts help guide my personal walk with Christ, the ministry I engage in, and the resources you will find on this site.

Speaking

The spring of my junior year of high school, I stood on the stage of a college recital hall and gave a twenty-minute speech on the Declaration of Independence before a nationally recognized attorney. When the event was over, the attorney came to me and said, “That was amazing. Don’t stop speaking.” But I wasn’t ready.

God had a journey for me to take first. It has wound its way through multiple countries, cultures, settings, and circumstances. Along the way, I’ve both had great adventures and passed through deep sorrow. And at each point on the path, I’ve seen more of who God is, how He sees us, and the amazing grace that He pours out to empower us to live a life of courageous faith.

I can’t wait to tell you all about it!

Coaching and Editing

Editing

Writing is a journey. No piece is polished at the end of its first draft. But editing doesn’t need to be scary. In truth, rewriting and editing are where budding ideas blossom and stories come to life. When done right and done with the right editor, editing leads to growth, learning, and a strong final product. I’d love to learn more about your project to see if we’re a fit.

Writing Coaching
