Cozy Mountain Fog

For the ChaiNook’s amazing, homemade version of the popular London Fog, just follow these steps:

  1. Bring water to boil. Remove from heat and allow to set until bubbling has stopped.
  2. In a 12 oz cup, add desired sweetener (I use about 3 tsp. of raw sugar, which is equivalent to 1 sugar cube per 8 oz cup.)
  3. Add 1 bag of Cozy Mountain Grey tea.
  4. Pour water over tea bag, being sure to keep the stream running through the bag.
  5. Steep for one minute and stir in sweetener until fully dissolved.
  6. Without removing the tea bag, add heavy whipping cream to taste (about 2 Tbsp)
  7. Enjoy!!

Leaving the tea bag gives a much fuller taste and allows the flavor to come through the cream.

Option: Instead of using boiled water and heavy whipping cream. You can also used steamed milk. To do this, heat the desired amount of milk or half and half to 150 degrees. Remove from heat, cover, and allow to sit for 2-3 minutes. You can also use a whisk, frother, or canning jar (by shaking) to froth your milk. Then pour it over your tea and sweetener, stir, allow to steep, and enjoy.
